Drew a large scale image today however, I was impatient to see the end result so began rubbing out the pencil marks before the ink had dried. The outcome, of course, is a ruined piece of work. But that’s ok, it needs to be done again. Following a telephone conversation with Cathy Simpson, I am now resolved to purchase sheets of blotting paper online since I only have an overused piece the size of a seaside postcard.

It’s time I learnt how to make my own brushes in Photoshop.

Here’s my second attempt at a fusion illustration of Judith: part medieval, part pen and ink, part Photoshop and part Biblical reference. Over the past couple of months I’ve been looking at a lot of medieval imagery. This image could be classified as a drawing by osmosis but I guess ‘fusion’ sounds better. Better to osmose on imagery than get fat on iced buns, though I could do with one of those right now, it’s far more enjoyable. Sticky bun anyone? My calories await me. Must dash – byeeee.

From the Bible:
Judith Chapter 8
33 Tonight you must be at the gate of the town. I shall make my way out with my attendant. Before the time fixed by you for surrendering the town to our enemies, the Lord will make use of me to rescue Israel.
34 You must not ask what I intend to do; I shall not tell you until I have done it.’

I spent a couple of hours over this piece last night. It will need to be re-drawn.
