Shrewsbury International Cartoon Festival 24th-26th April 2009.Posted by Chichi in Cartoons and Illustration, tags: Shrewsbury International Cartoon FestivalThis year, I’ve been invited to take part in The Shrewsbury International Cartoon Festival. It’s a privilege to be a contributor and I’m very excited about being involved in the three day event. At the festival you’ll find the formidable Bill Stott, mighty man Steve Bell, the fabulous Roger Penwill, glittering Jackie Flemming, hot as The Sun cartoonist Andy Davey, and many more talented folk. There are talks, exhibitions, drop-in workshops, cartoon clinics, you might even find a cartoonist wearing a kilt. Cartoon activity set against a delightful backdrop of glorious olde worlde Tudor timber buildings. Click on the interactive Shrewsbury map (created by political cartoonist, Alex Hughes), to find out what’s going on where: map. Alex, will be appearing on BBC’s Eggheads very soon. Patron Saint of The Professional Cartoonists’ Organisation, Libby Purves, has this to say about Shrewsbury International Cartoon Festival in The Telegraph.
